HISTORY OF TOYS
Humans have evolved by observing and inspiring nature. The first toy made would have been made from wood sticks, leaves and natural resources available at that time. Early humans established their medium of communication by the usage of signs and gestures, these signs and gestures later, helped humans to derive the idea of artistic representation known as pictorial script, thus, early man drew their lifestyles and their hobbies etc. The idea of pictorial script paved way to the physical representation of the pictorial script which eventually became toys. Examples such as terracotta toys and the toys excavated from the Indus valley civilization serves as a good example. During the early civilization era, humans started worshiping idols. As for children, idols was turned into toys to induce spiritual belief and teach the importance of culture to children, Thus, toys play an important role in communicating with children. Worshiping of idols has turned into celebrating festivals. Some examples are the golu festival, Vinayagar chatturti, dassara etc
